Purpose

We publish explainers and standards-oriented journalism that helps readers understand media, privacy, and publishing practices. We do not publish pages created primarily for ads, and we do not mass-generate thin articles solely for inventory.

Authorship and dates

Original articles include an author (or editorial desk), a publication date, and an update date when material changes are made.

Sourcing

When we cite official documentation or standards, we link to those sources in a references section. Wire headlines on the homepage are labeled as third-party summaries and link out.

Corrections

Email admin@velvetletters.online with the article URL and the correction. Substantive corrections update the article and its timestamp.

Independence and disclosures

Sponsored or affiliate content, if ever published, must be disclosed in the article and follow our Advertising Disclosure. Seed articles in this repository are not sponsored.

What we avoid

• Fabricated authors, credentials, reviews, or testimonials
• Keyword stuffing and hidden text
• Cloaking or doorway pages
• Scraped pages republished without meaningful added value
• Encouraging clicks on advertisements
