Participation in Google advertising

Velvet & Letters participates in the Google AdSense advertising program (and related Google advertising technologies) when the site owner has configured a legitimate Google-issued publisher ID and you allow advertising cookies. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet, to measure ad performance, and—if you allow personalization—to show more relevant ads.

Google Analytics

When Google Analytics is enabled and you allow analytics cookies, we use it to understand aggregated site usage (such as page views and basic engagement). Analytics storage starts denied until you choose otherwise in the consent banner.

Google AdSense and display advertising

This site participates in Google AdSense when advertising is configured and you allow advertising cookies. Labeled ad units may appear on content-rich pages. We do not ask readers to click ads, and ads are kept separate from editorial recommendations.

  • Vercel Analytics may collect aggregated traffic metrics depending on deployment settings
  • Optional Web Push notifications (Chrome/Opera/Edge/Firefox when configured) — only after you grant browser permission. Opera Mini users should use RSS instead.

Retention and security

We retain contact emails as needed to respond. Analytics and advertising retention are governed by Google’s product settings and policies when those products are enabled. No method of transmission over the Internet is completely secure.

Children
